Sony is about to launch the new PMWF3 Super 35mm Digital Cinematography Camcorder. The PMWF3 represents a breakthrough for independent producers and filmmakers in terms of features, performance and price.

The video above shot entirely with the Sony PMW-F3 by Jason Wingrove. Shot early morning at the ocean pool at North Narrabeen on Sydney’s northern beaches. Lenses were Zeiss 28mm, 40 & 65mm UltraPrime, full set of Zeiss Super Speeds, & a 135mm prime.

The PMWF3 is designed for a range of digital production environments seeking the creative flexibility offered by a large frame sensor – from commercial, documentary, television and feature film production to users such as education, event, corporate, government and more.

Optionally available when purchasing the PMWF3 is a new and remarkably affordable PL lens kit which broadens the camcorder’s range of potential applications and gives users more flexibility in lens selection. The kit includes 35/50/85mm T2.0 fixed focal length lenses.
