By blending live-action and animation, the campaign simplifies a complex topic, demonstrating the benefits of MyGov Digital ID in an engaging and approachable way.
To effectively communicate the advantages of Digital ID, IPER brought together its live-action and animation teams for a hybrid production. This approach allowed us to connect with audiences on a personal level while visually illustrating the technology in action. Pre-Production & Planning Script Development – We collaborated with the Federal Government to craft a script that was clear, informative, and approachable for a wide audience. Storyboard & Animation Planning – Given the hybrid nature of the project, our storyboarding process focused on seamlessly blending filmed sequences with motion graphics, ensuring a fluid and cohesive experience. Live-Action Production The live-action portions of the video focused on real people in everyday scenarios, showing how Digital ID simplifies identification in real-world situations—whether accessing government services or verifying identity securely online. Our team ensured that these scenes were natural and relatable, reinforcing the campaign’s accessibility.
A key element of this video was the integration of motion graphics and animation, helping to visualize the security, ease, and efficiency of Digital ID. Motion Graphics: Used to highlight key features, such as how Digital ID works in real time. Seamless Transitions: Graphics were layered over live-action footage, creating a modern, polished aesthetic. Colour & Style: The animation elements maintained a consistent, government-approved design language, ensuring credibility while keeping the visuals engaging. By carefully balancing animation with filmed sequences, we were able to keep the messaging clear while making Digital ID feel intuitive and future-forward.
In post-production, our team focused on precision editing, ensuring that the animation enhanced rather than overwhelmed the storytelling. Every transition was fine-tuned to keep the energy dynamic while maintaining an easy-to-follow narrative. Once launched, the campaign successfully educated Australians about Digital ID, breaking down technical concepts into digestible, real-world benefits. The hybrid approach resonated with viewers, making the message both engaging and memorable.
