The Project

Renaissance Retirement Living’s campaign captures a lively, carefree community where fun truly doesn’t retire. Over three days of filming on location, we worked directly with the client to develop the concept, casting two main actors alongside real residents. The story follows a bustling Saturday morning: residents play poker, dance, sip wine, and enjoy themselves - until the arrival of visiting family triggers a hilarious transformation. Poker tables become bridge sets, wine glasses swap for teacups, and vibrant outfits are exchanged for cardigans and slippers. The cheeky moments and lighthearted tone showcase a community full of energy and joy, highlighting that life at Renaissance is vibrant at any age.

Process

We handled the full production process from idea to delivery, managing the shoot, editing, sound design, and colour grading. Working with non-actors presented a challenge, but their natural charm brought warmth and authenticity to the ad. Every frame was crafted to balance humour and relatability, from the residents’ playful mischief to the swift, comical transition when the family arrives. The result is a feel-good, cinematic piece that celebrates life, energy, and fun in a retirement community.
